🔢 How the Math Works

The standard way to calculate age is to subtract the Date of Birth (DOB) from the Target Date.

Subtract the birth year from the target year.

Subtract the birth month from the target month. If negative, borrow 1 year (12 months).

Subtract the birth day from the target day. If negative, borrow 1 month (equal to the number of days in the previous month).
